Cecil Harrell founded Pro Sports Transportation in 1998 when he was an active City of Tampa Firefighter. Cecil was no stranger to moving and logistics businesses though. His parents owned a local family moving business he worked for over the years who partnered with The Tampa Bay Bandits for moving and transportation needs.

Cecil working his firefighting shifts at Tampa International Airport, realized the need for premier transportation services for local sports teams and  traveling sports teams. From there, Pro Sports Transportation was born.

Cecil and his son Walter have worked side-by-side since 1998 helping local and traveling sports teams navigate not just The Bay Area but many trips around the East Coast. From airport pickups, to equipment storage, to loading in and out of hotels and locker rooms Pro Sports has been a trusted team for professional sport leagues and college leagues for over 27 years.

Now, 27 years later Cecil and Walter have welcomed the next generation of movers to the team with Cecil’s grandson joining the family business.

Over the last 27 years Pro Sports Transportation has grown from serving Major League Baseball to the National Football League and many college sports teams too! Pro Sports continues to offer premier moving services as well to non-commercial clients. We are grateful to serve our communities in many different ways.

Cecil has retired from firefighting but continues to have a strong presence with Pro Sports Transportation. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, working on his farm in Alabama and fishing in The Keys. Walter can usually be found onsite at local central Florida job sites moving many of our clients himself! In his spare time, he enjoys coaching his daughter’s softball team, fishing, and hunting. Christopher, our newest generational team member enjoys fishing, hunting, and spending time competing with friends in various video games. You can catch him soon working Hillsborough and Pinellas County moves.
